The purpose of this unit is to expose students to a variety of words, and nuances of words to express themselves in complete sentences. Students will actively engage with a variety of literary and informational texts with purpose and understanding. The texts used will model the use of rich language to express thoughts and ideas. Students will be guided to answer the essential question: How do words help me express myself?
