Lesson seeds are ideas that can be used to build a lesson aligned to the CCSS. Lesson seeds are not meant to be all-inclusive, nor are they substitutes for instruction.

formative assessment will inform a teachers instructional pacing and delivery.
Text Model-Unit Opener
This seed utilizes a customized Prezi to introduce students to the unit, Protecting One Another. It is designed to engage and motivate students and provides a visual representation of the concept. This seed promotes class discussion using thought provoking questions. It is a vehicle to elicit discussion and to gain an understanding of the background knowledge of students. Use the tool to also introduce synonyms for protection; protect defend, guard, keep, shield, shelter, safety, armor defense
