Based on their study of citizens becoming involved in the political process in the context of early U.S. history, have the students identify and analyze a contemporary issue and design an action plan for implementing change as it relates to this matter. Be sure the students can explain why the strategies they have identified for their involvement in the political process are well-suited for the issue they have selected.
