Gwenyth Swanson was the Scoring Specialist for the Maryland State Department of Education for five years, a time when she provided leadership and technical assistance in the development, administration, and analysis of the scoring of statewide assessments. Prior to coming to MSDE she worked for ten years, assuming the same roles with other states and with Taiwan. Her knowledge about scoring in general and scoring the HSA in particular made her an invaluable resource for schools.
